About Rally for a Cause

HOW WE HELP:

When an unexpected illness or personal tragedy occurs, it can impact families in many different ways. At Rally for a Cause our goal is to work directly with these families and individuals to ease the burden and financial strain where we can.

We engage with the families and individuals and ask what it is that would help them get through. The things that matter and make life a bit easier are not always huge, but in tough times they can really matter!

Through funds raised by the Dunga Derby, our major fundraising event, we have been able to provide families with the means to travel to Brisbane and other destinations for treatment; put food on the table when funds were scarce and contribute towards overdue school fees; to cover pharmacy bills; service the family vehicle; help secure access to medical procedures and rehabilitation equipment.  We have been able to come to the aid of families who have suddenly lost a parent, a breadwinner or a provider. We have helped modify a bathroom and create a sensory garden (both for children with special needs) and we have provided funds to assist with the cost of funerals.

Help comes in many ways and for our families it's also comforting to know they belong to a community that cares!
